Chang£? is a campaign to show how donations can be better used to help more people, and give those who are rough sleepers a better chance.
On average, in 2011, nine people slept rough every night in Liverpool city centre. In 2015, that figure had risen to fifteen. Chang£? is here to make you realise that a direct donation is not the most effective way to help.
Support centres and charities, on the other hand, can help make your £’s go further. They work tirelessly to calculate how best to use donations effectively to help as many rough sleepers as they possibly can.
In a nutshell, £1 given straight to a rough sleeper on the street might buy them a snack, whereas £1 given to a support network can provide two freshly cooked breakfasts, making your pound go further.
We're working closely with The Whitechapel Centre who co-ordinate Liverpool's outreach response to rough sleeping as part of the No Second Night Out campaign. By providing information about someone you think may be sleeping rough you will be helping us ensure no one ever needs to sleep for a second night on the street.
If you want your donations to go further and help more rough sleepers, then please donate to Chang£?. You can donate via text message or JustGiving:
Together, we can ensure that more than one person benefits from your donations.
